Manager - Recorded Information Management Department

An opening exists for a customer-oriented, enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead and manage the Recorded Information Management (10758) department. Services provided by the department include:

+ Records and Information Management
+ Review and approval application
+ CSandia Image collection
+ Customer records centers
+ Media migration
+ Corporate Forms.


+ Requires a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Information Management, Business, or Management and eight or more years of experience; or equivalent experience (minimum of 16 years)
+ Experience with Review & Approval (R&A) process and policy
+ Experience with information management systems


+ Experience with responding to/managing regulatory compliance
+ Demonstrated ability in strong service delivery
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated successful negotiations skills
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and foster effective trusted partnerships across multiple teams
+ Experience with records management activities
+ Experience with managing represented and non-represented staff
+ Experience managing a large budget
+ Knowledge of diverse missions at Sandia

The Recorded Information Management Department is a dynamic, high-performing, and enthusiastic department working in high-profile records management areas, managing the life cycle of information and preserving Sandia's important records. The department develops policies and procedures to meet records management requirements for Sandia and provides products and services for cost-effective management of information by Sandians and contractors.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance to start.

Position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance or active clearance with another US government agency, e.g., DOD, to be considered for this position.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
